Which 2007 security suite is better? McAfee or Norton?

What am I doing wrong? I got Norton with my new Dell and hated it. So I decided to go back to McAfee because it was great on my old hp. I've downloaded many $$$$ worth of McAfee for my home network and still am having issues.....it's really pissin' me off. I want protection (spent $2000.00 on new computer) but I'm seriously tired of spending money and getting nothing for it.
