go for comodo or zone alarm.. those are firewall..

for antivirus, go for the avg or avira..

yeah agreed zone alarm and comodo are both good. the only thing i found with zone alarm is that is has to many popups and gets annoying after a while.

if you have a router that should provide security for you. avg i use for anti virus as its free and ive never had a problem with it. constantly updating itself. i only use windows firewall as every router has built in firewalls which is enough for me. i also have various anti spyware applications. i havent had a virus in yonks.
ZoneAlarm Firewall is Free and the best, "compared only with other Free Firewall".

But compared with firewall that needs to pay, ZoneAlarm ranked very lousy (although they are still better than Windows OneCare) and have security Flaws (with the default Access List).

But since security is concern, but why not consider the best than the free and cheap?
