On Saturday everything was fine, kids on cbeebies website
and I installed windows security patches and some software to view streaming media, (I did not reboot after this) and everything was OK. Have checked all the leads are fine.
On Sunday the PC would not boot up, nothing on the screen at all and the PC was bleeping every second. Disk drives fine, I could hear them spinning and the PC had not been moved at all. Any ideas?
Computer not booting up and continually bleeping?vincent
Sounds like a memory problem. If you are comfortable opening the PC, with the PC off try removing and putting back the memory chip(s). Often that will fix the issue. Over time they can work loose or get dirt on the contacts.
If not, offer to buy a Mcdonalds for your favorite "geek" and he/she will do it for you. (Five minute job).
If that does not resolve the issue, you will need to have a pro look at it. The beeping means that it is a mechanical/hardware issue.
Computer not booting up and continually bleeping?adware remover
kids sticky fingers make sure all the buttons are ok and not stuck this could be the problem if a button on the keyboard is stuck then you will get a constant beeping and make sure that there is nothing in the disk drives
Probably RAM is faulty. U can try by replacing the RAM.
This happened to my pc b4. Normally if your pc is too much loaded with stuff this happeneds. Try boot it through dos. If not the you need to reinstalled you pc
Only two things will cause a continual beep. Bad RAM or bad Video RAM. You should find a local tech shop and have them run a diagnostics on it. Be prepared to pay around $50 for this plus parts and labor. Hope this helps
If nothing appears is you on/offbutton broken or stuck? I ask because of the constant beeping.
Just two queries
